@Zone_Q11 The Angel could cause a false flip. Just noticed. Wanted to let you know.

It hindered us from focusing on the real topic: carbonated vs beancat.

…wait, so the entire debate at EOD2 was just about you knowing / guessing about Merpy being Illusionist, and not talking about it?

Well to be fair you’re uninformed either way so it’s not really going to do as much. Until you pick a teammate but alas

wait a second
beancat might not even have been arbiter :skull:

Most of the roles are duplicates. (In particular those of the Blue Dragon and Hands of Byzantium.)
Don’t let the heavy mech overwhelm you. Just focus on playing socially until you get the hang of what you can do, and claim only when everyone calls for mass-claim, or when you’re about to die.

Anyway as an aspect of being a LW and in a leader position yeah you’d be trying to solve the game, and until you find your teammates that’s what you’d do. Pushing the illusionist who is most likely good with the guise that they’re not doing a specific thing looks good on paper but when you think about it, even if they were evil:

You’d kill an evil, but not the important evil it’d just be a convert. Making you look good but opening up more “slots” for your team to do their thing. Even if the illusionist isn’t evil you can shrug it off as trying to solve stuff but you saying you already knew the illusionist and doing that anyway is bothering me a little

we’ll learn the next time we execute an unseen player if beancat was false flipped
because the angel would leave the game

So how’d you figure?

They’d have to have been specifically chosen over literally anyone else. With a 1-shot ability that gets wasted if it’s not used immediately during the day it’s used.

Just read the Angel text, and it says that if the Angel changed their flip, they’d appear as a [evil faction] Killer.
The Arbiter is a Hand of Byzantine Special, so an Angel alteration isn’t possible here.

kiiruma just pointed out the angel has a false flip ability

What non-Unseen things can cause an occupation / feedback for no visit happening.
Lock Room (Corrupted King - Paranoid / Purified King - Paranoid)
Imperial Judgement (Arbiter)
Providence (Crusader)
Detain 2 (Sentinel)
Mess Decay + Glyph / Grove’s Blessing (Druid)
Defender’s Notes (Librarian)
Minor Arcana - King of Cups (Fortune Teller)
Mind Control (Mage)
Herbal Remedy (Senex)
Stand Guard (Mercenary)
Shelter (Insurgent)
Mist Form (Strigoi), Vampiric Bite (Strigoi)
Misdirect (Viscount)

You read the wrong ability

It’s this one

They have to be executed specifically the next day and it’s a 1-shot, beancat wasn’t suspected and wasn’t even talked about and absolutely nobody aside from me even tried to kill them until it was EOD.

I’m not the angel and anyone who even tries to go for that angle is getting smacked

The angel is never wasting that ability D2 and then doing literally nothing the entire day in hopes their target randomly becomes the person everyone wants dead

Thank you for informing me. :+1:

Occam’s razor says it’s more likely that we executed Arbiter!beancat than some random role who got hit by the 1-Shot ability of an Angel though. Plus, why would Angel choose to frame beancat of all players? Why not someone who should die the longer they are alive, like Achro?

While possible, but that does mean the angel can be involved in voting Beancat as well?

So far its speculation.
