I just finished my second year
I have taken abstract algebra, analysis, stochastic processes, set theory etc
I have like 2 more classes after next sem to complete math major i think
I took cryptography last semester and liked it a lkt

Iāve only taken up to linear algebra 1 in math and Iāve taken stat mech/thermo & electronics lab in physics, as well as having done some research work in cosmology
Being a liberal arts school with so few physics majors classes get cancelled a lot or not offered so thereās not really options to go faster than the pace they set
Thatās really impressive and also kinda nuts. How was abstract algebra? Iām thinking of taking that in the spring

Man, the classes getting canceled sucks- how many people need to sign up for a class not to get canceled?
Abstract algebra was really fun- it is probably the class that helped develop my proof writing skills the most, and the concepts covered in the course were extremely interesting

Cosmology is actually kinda sick as hell ngl although the day to day is just coding itās worth it to be able to ramble about to any victim in a five mile radius when I free myself from sobriety
Thereās no magic number to cancelling classes; there was a 4 person class last semester because someone needed it to graduate. But next semester three students are going abroad and three classes got cut. A given semester does not necessarily have any electives. But I was in a five person class last semester and it was a kinda fun, we could lobby the teacher to touch on different topics and we could take the final basically any day during finals week.
I think I heard abstract algebra might be good for law school because it reinforces arguing logic or something so I may follow through on that in the spring.
Iām going to sleep now because I gotta wake up early tomorrow (meaning before 2pm) so gn gummy
