Summary

They killed off ALL the compelling characters way too early. trans person and old mom were by far the 2 best characters imo, and both died super early. The old mom’s son and the fake marine were also some of the better characters. Shaman lady was annoying but at least she was interesting.

222 was not really a great character imo, and the baby was even more of a nothingburger. The only characters I cared about going into the last half of it were Crypto guy, Evil rich guy #100, and Gi Hun. It was so many randoms and for what. The season started cool but it lost so much steam and there was NO payoff for so many of the stupid fucking sideplots.

In s1, at least plenty of compelling characters were left by the last 2 games. You had buff yakuza guy and his rival crazy lady die during the bridge, and then the finale had 3 of the best characters left to fight it out.

Its okay though. I will make up for squidgame crimes by writing and animating my own fucking Death Game media that loses a bunch of the stupid tropes I hate from death games. No this is not a joke
