It’s a ruffle, unlike with majority votes, it can be won via a random vote as well.
It’s very likely mafia will just vote each other / randomly, just to mess with the results.
(also there was talk about that as well, but not as much as the council)

in what way
there are definitely different vibes overall but I’m chalking that up to this game being one where they’re (afaik) talking to people they’re friends with and haven’t necessarily played mafia with in a long time, whereas KRC is anonymous so there’s a lot less of that

the raffle system for blaseball elections meant that it was possible for teams who didnt plan around a result getting it because some rando put in a vote for it
this happened at one point where the dale got a blessing called “wind sprints” with a very small percentage of the vote, which someone responded to with a tweet along the lines of “crazy how one person in miami sent in ‘vote, wimdy’ and the officials went ‘well you gotta hand it to em they make a compelling case’”
this led to any low % results being referred to as a “wimdy” in reference to this
