thread presence is cute but there arent very many benefits to enabling it for mafia games. but it did lead to amusing moments and as a social feature it is v good

it existing as an optional tag (primarily for cookie thread) is an ideal world; but there’s no world where the staff should willingly reenable it while a known exploit still exists and if i had to guess it might be a discourse issue outside of zugs power to fix (but i might be wrong there)

i dont think likes are really that bad for mafia games tho? theres obviously some potential issues but but honestly having a button to like acknowledge “ive seen this post” without making a post is immensely underappreciated

im sure if someone wanted to abuse tf out of likes they could but to be blunt if someone wanted to cheat in a mafia game i think using likes is… one of the worst ways to do it lol

plus removing likes means you’re basically killing willow and soweli. this is a consequence that i believe some people would take issue with. although now that i say it out loud, maybe it’s a good idea

anyway i opened cookie thread to laugh at how soweli was reading an old ass thread based on her liking a bunch of my posts from it but it turns out it had sparked from cookie thread discourse which is amusing

he’s got gacha he’ll be fine

None will be as good as the first one. You can give up if you wanna.

yea i like liking posts for a lot of reasons but you can (theoretically) just simply not like a post & you’re also like. pretty aware of what liking a post means to people at least angleshooting-wise. ok i admittedly got a little bit concerned about which posts i was liking in beatings 5 but. Whereas typing isn’t discrete & it’s also really hard to not form ideas of what town/mafia’s typing patterns are like and thus you are kind of bound to appeal to them

I was lurking in fam4 at eod and then i accidentally liked a post that made me laugh and then i quickly unliked but i got worried i got seen so I forced myself to post and i got executed. Its not hard to misstap on mobile while scrolling. I had one of my posts liked by Litten who was a spectator in a recent game while I was alive, on accident im sure

i have somehow deleted posts on accident at least twice so yea fair

i mean the post that was written as a roleplay post, not the act of roleplaying posts which is kinda the whole concept

Yeah I think the only one that really matters in practice is how easy they are to misclick
