Eighteen feet below the throne room…
A butler softly pushes open the door to the ‘Scheming Room’ (as it is to be specifically titled, by decree), and carefully peers within. Inside, Baron Wilhelm Marzipan the Third screams at Baron Wilhelm Marzipan the Second about the latter’s ‘poor rationing’, as Baron Wilhelm Marzipan the Second anxiously paces back and forth. The butler awkwardly squints, and wave the other three servants over, who similarly take nervous onlooking positions.
“ALL of our pasteries are gone.” Wilhelm the Third growls. “We have nothing to boost the morale of our troops with! Why are you insistent on defying my victory with your failure?!”
"You should start considering my morale! I was dying! Wilhelm the Second snaps back.
Wilhelm the Third looks dumbfounded. Wilhelm the Fourth mutters something in his stupor about needing to protect the pigeons.
The carpenter and another maid joins the servants at the doorway. “We had…” Wilhelm the Third emphasises “…enough to last us a handful more battles, and you had just used all in one day, on our least valuable individual!”
“How were you going to split three oatmeal…” Wilhelm the Second lingers on the word ‘oatmeal’, giving a strong sound of disgust. The butler slowly shakes his head. “… cookies between all of your troops!”
“With careful precision and planning! Something you lack” Wilhelm the Third points an accusatory finger at his brother. Wilhelm the Second pouts.
“Is bickering all that you two do?” Wilhelm the Fourth speaks up. “We need to think of a way out of this mess.”
“And how’s that going for you, Thinker?” Wilhelm the Third scorns. “We’ve been here so long that we’re sinking into the ground.”
“And that we’re out of cookies.” Wilhelm the Second hastily adds.
Wilhelm the Fourth sighs. “I just… don’t know what to do. It’s all so scary…”

The servants look on with worry.

Wilhelm the Second cautiously unwraps a bar of chocolate and tries to move it to his mouth.
III swiftly notices and jumps out of his seat. “Are you kidding! Give me that!” He barks, diving onto the table seperating the two of them in an attempt to grab it, snapping the table with his body weight as he plummets to the floor, empty handed.The carpenter groans.
i don’t like this super either but it’s a bit better
And hopefully I got the characterisation a bit more right, even though the narration and the dialogue is different from squirrel’s.

online metagaming is kinda hard to deal with imo bc its something even if you make an effort to not mention or look for it will still happen
defintlet have been times where i didnt wanna be in thread or it was advantageous to not be in thread, but i didnt have an excuse, so i went offline on discord
dwfintley have also been times where someone wasnt in thread (bc they said they were busy with irl stuff) but i saw they were online on discord and while i tried to not let that influence my reads im sure it did on some subconcious level
though to me the true method is pretend youre busy to not be in thread as both town AND mafia. Unreadable that way
im assuming qbcord is probably different though and people are just like, actively speculating on it 
but i think its an interesting topic that def ties into prescense enabled
i guess i’m a little subconscious of it and will often just leave myself on invis during mafia games, but like. i actively thread dodge as town and mafia on qbcord so it’s not like. a big deal with me? and i think i just implicitly assume others do the same

I played i think four mafia games last year
One wss vocaroo mafia. It did bad
One was kirbys return to dreamland, i did REALLY bad oh my god maybe my worst town performance literally ever
One was KRC, i did good there that one was fun
and FAM which was a good ending
idk if ill play more. It was really hard to find the motivation to play in kirbys return to dreamland (which was an ultralight), vocaroo mafis (which ig was an exception and the mafias entire strategy was to flood thread with super long vocaroos), KRC (even if i did well by my standards)
Just kinda dont have the motivation to play much more. Maybe if a setup really grabs my eye and ill def play in FAM but like… eh. I hear the sirens call sometimes and do wanna give it like 1 more real shot maybe but i think i might b movin on
Plus like im gonna have a full time job
Weekends im busy pretty much the entire time
Im gonna be tired after work
Etc etc
Everything comes to an end.
