Now that I have the unfragmented merchant-side version of E4, I finally understoodā€¦ that Mr. Thorn is fucking mental.

POV7 E4ā€™s stream was corrupted; hacked into slices due to tech issue. And I could not see the offer made by the guild before, because this was not made Solomon.

I was wondering why the merchants were going on the northern farmland expedition at E5. It turns out that they were offered a lease to develop that land.

Sure, the north is relatively safer than the south, but that doesnā€™t mean that the blight didnā€™t reach that far. Hell, even Elliot encountered a shadow from the northern gate at E2. (Though admittedly IDK whether that was a scripted event or not.)

Uncertain ground (for development). Uncertain protection. Most definitely no ownership (because this is a lease). POV7 E4 was corrupted, so I donā€™t know what Elliot was thinking, but I agree with Silas: This is just a bad deal.

((And then thereā€™s the fact that the farmhouse is actively inhabited by demon worshippers who barricaded themselves. Oh, and the house is of poor quality and falling apart.))

((ā€¦hey wait a minute. Silas offered cages and balms to the doctors for ~51 pieces, but technically speaking he could justā€¦ steal the cages from the farmhouse.))
