You said this, but you’re technically a large part of the reason why I started sheeting shit.
This post, even if blatantly a copypasta, planted the idea of tracking reads and shit into my head, leading to the physical notes that have evolved into my current sheets (though, nowadays they’re more useful for forcing me to take things slow and quickly reminding myself WHERE a given read-related post was)
Though, I have just about given up on sheeting MU games (as in, I will quickly abandon their sheets) since they post twice as fast as Smogon, with double the “read density” to boot, leading to the sheet being behind by like 60% of the game (at best) by the time EoD1 comes around.

It’s cool to do, it’s entertaining to have original genders rather than the tired old ones, I would not laugh at somebody in the abstract doing this. However I will admit my girlfriend (?) (not official I don’t know what else to call her though) saw this post on the screen looking over my shoulder and did call you an egg.
I think it’s less the concept of using the pronouns that’s funny, more so talking about it so extensively without actually doing it. Using she/her because you like it vs spending a lot of time going “what if… I could use she/her pronouns… no… unless…?” and then chickening out of actually doing it

I think the difference in, uh, respect, being seen here is in part due to somebody very securely going “no, this is my gender, this is what I want to be called, I’m confident in that” (not likely to be somebody who is actually in denial) vs somebody going “
but what if I could” (reads more like somebody who could be in denial)
