During my time as Darion, I learned one thing about my own playstyle as an RPG player...
I should never be given the power to distinguish the difference between truth and lies. (Or at the very least, not without great effort that dissuades me from discerning the truth.)
I am a person who trusts any information I didn’t know yet. Naturally, if I could confirm any statement (e.g., by reading an all-knowing book, or by having a lie-detecting ability) then I would do so. However, if (or when) I couldn’t confirm a statement, then there is no way for me to know it is a lie, and therefore no reason to distrust the information. At least, until I learn that said information is false. (Heck. Even then, I feel like my general trust towards new information will not decrease.)
I am also trying to be an entertainer of sorts. It’s got to do with an unpleasant topic I’d talked about somewhen in the past, but basically I want to be remembered. And thus the more entertaining I am, the more likely I am to be remembered. From a comedy POV, I believe that seeing someone do stuff with incomplete or wrong information is way more hilarious than watching some all-knowing character. The fool is more entertaining than the sage.
