im bad in the sense of playing against anyone who plays seriously, but I’m good enough to beat most of my friends. My best friend is exactly equally as good as me if not slightly better which is perfect because we can play 20 games and each win 8-12 any given day and that makes it fun to keep playing

Upon looking back into Encroaching Darkness… I guess one role doesn’t seem like it would fit there. It is a fine role in vacuum, but it doesn’t have good cohesion with the game’s theme.

I just… need… one more…

Pro tip: If you have a box where you expect people to put money in, and that box is secured with a number lock, make sure that you don’t leave the correct code on the lock for someone to just open by turning the lock.

In wholly unrelated news, the code for the donation box in my dorm’s lobby is 1726.

Execution Punishment: Atlas

Over the past month, I have made a real and legitimate attempt to discern my favourite owl house episode. In doing so, I have watched 1-9, and thus, this review will cover my opinion of my favourite within those, in a ā€œsincere genuine review of more than 300 wordsā€

My favourite episode is the first one. Although the owl house, as a whole, tends to have the ā€˜problem of the week’ formula (problem developed within the first five minutes, rest of the episode spent dealing with it; there’s not much progression so far) I believe that the setup of the episode is decent. The ideas present throughout the continued show are set up decently here (being weird is fine… friends are cool… i think that’s it). I liked the setup. The king problem of the week is one of the better ones, and is one of the better episodes in show his and the owl lady’s characterisation versus them mainly taking up the sideplot (which was in episodes… 3, 6, and 7 if I was remembering correctly?) they’re one of the better characters and i like how they got some time in the spotlight, and their dynamic is best when they’re together with personalities (which is why i’m discounting episode 4, since the owl lady has way less of a personality there (by design)). It’s not exactly very in-depth in a way that i can really pick it apart, the characterisation of luz being a stubborn but well meaning child is decent, and leads up well into ep5 (when she doesn’t want to cheat in the duel/comforts amity for her mentor using her to cheat, i also like in that episode how when her abomination is super massive she looks noticeably surprised for a second, it’s good foreshadowing, it’s prolly my runner up for favourite episode… now that i’m writing this i’m kinda split on which i like more but since the site is down on my end i’m assuming it’s the one i thought the entire time). The warden is pretty plain, but the way their minions cheer on the ā€˜asking eda out thing’ is a little funny. I like the way it subverts a bit of tropes.
