âDemons capture human adventurers and sell them as merchandise.â
I am stupid! How tf did I not see that coming!? Was I blinded by the fact that the most exciting event contained within 9 chapters was nothing but territorial war!? I canât believe I didnât think of this option when the MC said heâd fight the merchant (demon) lord in his own forte! They are demons, duh! Why did I think they would be the same as humansâ Well, I guess I did get blinded by the child-raising plotline, huhâŚ
Man⌠what a whiplash.
Never mind!
Apparently the plot was to capture the human adventurers and ransom them for metals. Their equipment will then be confiscated and studied to improve the demonsâ weapons.
âŚsomehow, the lack of extremity is disappointing, despite this plot being a far more reasonable and overall better outcome for the demons.
Also, I guess this story depicts them as âjust another race (with great power)â rather than evil, vile creatures. (Ah, yeah. Makes sense. The concept of that world was based on a game after all.)
paris is actually pretty nice
NEVER NEVER MIND,
[REDACTED] WAS STILL ON THE TABLE!
The cost of ransom is high, so not all could be returned to the human realm. Those who were left behind became âmerchandiseâ. Considering 200 were captured, and I see at least ~20 humans⌠Dang, thatâs a lot of metals. (Poor, unfortunate souls.) ((They took the risk, even if they did so unknowingly. They invaded the demon realm.))
