I had a dream about the future. It sucks …in a certain aspect. The future in my dreams (henceforth dubbed FimD) was not a dystopia. Far from it, it sounded like I was living in utopia where war was a thing of the ancient past.
When one thinks of future nowadays, they would typically think “Wow, technology must have advanced a lot!” and it did happen in the FimD, but what I didn’t think was what the consequences of said advancement.
Culture naturally evolved along with technology, and my “present day common sense” clashed when I learned that the treatment most people in the FimD were afraid of in my dream was a simple needle shot. They invented a device (where the design is similar to a pregnancy test kit) that produced gel that sept into dream!Zone’s hand, and apparently that was some sort of generic cure-all for most ailments.
There were other plot points that was more interesting that this small detail, but this topic in particular astonishes me because of the culture shock of “I have seen far worse than this, and yet you people think this is bad?”
