I am fending off accusations from my mom of having sabotaged Sooryavanshi.
For context, he got out on 96 today. In his last game, he got out on 97 while on pace to make the fastest century in IPL history. Both instances occurred right after I started watching the game.

If by the “cylindrical kind” you mean what’s in the pic, it’s a honing steel. As the name implies, it hones a blade rather than sharpens it i.e. it attempts to repair an edge by trying to straighten and align the material already there as opposed to sharpening which is the removal of material to create an entirely new edge
