this is a pretty cold take but (non-metaphorical) judging books by their covers is often fine, book covers contain a fair* amount of information about e.g. genre, content, etc. if you know you hate horror and are phobic of mice, and the book cover is typeset in a horror font and has a picture of an evil looking mouse, probably you should not read that book.
* less information from the author than you might think, authors often have less influence over their book covers than you might expect, but that doesnât mean covers canât be informative

They came from a hoarder house with lots of other cats, so they have some health issues theyâre being medicated for
And i found out Clem is immunocompromised weh
