I haven’t actually played this system but I found a decent number of people online mentioning mental load (or things adjacent to mental load) as an issue

a problem people tend to have with the really rules light systems is that people (whether they consciously think it or not) like having mechanics to supplement their character story beyond ‘being vaguely better at a thing than another person’

i mean
its still fairly simple?
like instead of rolling, then adding your modifier
you roll, add two numbers together, then add your modifier
and then you look a dice and say whihc one is higher/lower (most of the time)
i dont see it as much harder?
and you have far less to keep track of than in DND, like you just tick a box instead of erasing, rewriting, keeping track of spell slots, keeping track of what spells even do
its all there in front of you and extremely simplified which makes them adaptable and easy to use/understand, even on a first play

I see mental load being an issue from two different angles. Resource tracking and ‘how to process interactions’
Needless to say, all reviews I could find were able to back up the claim that ‘the system is overall very good’ pretty well to me (an experienced ttrpg dm)
