I think conventionally vampire hunters tend to be humans who hunt vampires for self-preservation.

it’s vaguely about self-preservation
honestly it’s setting dependent

There’s a circumstance to duty spectrum

ā€œWe kill vampires to help humanity!ā€ or something

Not exactly self-preservation but something related to protecting, maybe

most vampire hunters are fueled with revenge… (at least the first time.)

List of POVs and Episodes

Huh. Gwen thinks Theo and Solomon are having an affair? Sounds ridiculous regardless whether I have the context or not. (And yes: I do have the context. There was nothing suspicious going on. He had just asked her to visit him for her opinion regarding the fort’s status quo.)

Ah, the coven members finally get to learn from Stiorra about the protection rune… the advanced one that she got from the guild, who then had learned it from… a past expedition, IIRC. The symbol is a mixture of… well, I remember this one (į›’) from when Stiorra was building the camp outside the fort, and the defensive rune (ᛉ). There was also a horizontal line in the middle of the first rune, so this one (ᚾ) might also be involved?

I noticed that multiple characters have fever… I thought it was just Daisy, but apparently Bracken was also feeling under the weather, though apparently not as bad as Daisy.

Talked with Oliver– Yeah, he’s still fucking crazy for asking for ten pieces. Then again, now that I’m listening to his side of the story, I’m starting to believe there might be a small miscommunication. His argument is that -when one bargains- you start with something way over the price you actually want –but the guild are not street merchants; if you want a raise, then go directly to the price you want; not one that breaks the dang economy!

Vampire that’s a vampire hunter would go hard.

I’m imagining something like Blue Eye Samurai?

Actually, now that I’m thinking about it, Alucard is exactly this.

Also there is Blade. (well, technically he is half-vampire.)
Anita Blake is one as I said already.
there are quite a few vampire hunters among the ā€œveggieā€ vampires from Twilight.
Also Bloodrayne (well, she is a dhampir as well…)

These are just the most famous ones. (I have met a few less famous ones in the past… )
So being a vampire (or partially a vampire) isn’t a reason to be excluded from the vampire hunter club.

You’ve met vampires? Excuse me?

Did you also interview one of them?

bit hard to do that, given their whole ā€˜being a vampire’ thing makes recording them a fairly arduous task

Not a fan of how you can’t combine colored text and URLs like on MU, as you see.
