Announcement from President-elect Nixon
Senator Kennedy has just phoned me to concede the election. I congratulated him for a hard-fought campaign. He’s a frustratingly charismatic speaker, and I admire his great fight. The Republican Party is and has always been America’s Party.
On a lighter note, at least the CIA and that conniving Lyndon Johnson won’t kill him in Dallas in 1964. He’ll have to get through me, instead.
