I didnt read further they just scrapped the idea. Maybe was too scared to push the idea too far in 1999. The directors were still closeted themselves

The first one is a classic, it was revolutionary for its time. Definitely would recommend. The second one less so. I havent rewatched the third one, i wouldnt bother. I heard theyve made more but im not planning to watch them. Watching just the first one would be enough

I noticed on myself, when I watched Squid game, season 2 a few weeks prior. (I liked season 1)
I simply stopped after two episodes. It wasnât boring or anything, (and I pretty much liked the twist at the end of episode 2) but⌠I just didnât felt good watching it alone.

I donât really have anyone to call over, to watch movies.
Elementary school and high school I was more of an outcast, (probably because of this) I wasnât really social in any unis, and the last school, I was averagely 7-8 years older than my classmates (and at least 3 years older than my crush). It wasnât really a friendly atmosphere. (Those were people, who just finished elemantary school, basically kids compared to me.)
And collegues are collegues, i donât want really mix work life with my social life. (Itâs enough that I promised the leader that I hit the gym with him, if he succesfully stops smoking.)

squid games 2 spoilers
At best, it faintly mimicked the old show. Almost like a scuffed indie fan project. The first game was the exact identical one. Except the protagonist is now constantly stern and gloomy. They copied so much. They had the exact same moment where its a split tie to end the games after the first one, coming down to the last contestant, number 1, whos actually the real villain playing in the games. This is what happened in season 1, and they mimicked it completely. The recruiterâs character was ruined. He was cold, calculating, manipulative. Here they made him impulsive, emotional, erratic. The main character had 0 charisma, and had so much at the first season. We could see him laughing, crying, we emphatized with his need for money and his lazyness. His red hair just disappeared. So we have these games going, and suddenly it stops being about squid games. They dedicated a lot of tiem about uncovering the island. Like an operations thing. And then the constestants have a revolt, they grab weapons, they fight. Like its a completely different show. It felt painfully mediocre to me. It had zero of the emotions that made squid games 1 felt good. I felt no emotional attachment to the characters, i dont think they tried to build any

The last group I could call âclose to friendsâ letâs say we didnât part away on the friendliest terms. (At least with those who didnât decide to ghost the whole group, after a (i still think stupid) argument.)
I needed a few more years to realize, that they had a point. But unlike them, I told the group I was living, and told them they can contact me, if they wanted something.
The furious thing happened afterwards. After a few months, basically someone contacted me, cause they asked for an unique item my character had. (Itâs well, I wasnât planning to use it anyway.) But after I confirmed the transaction, the stonehead administrator (who was the main reason most of the others ghosted the group) decided because my character was inactive, he couldnât have that unique item, so the transaction is void.
I didnât contacted them sinceâŚ
