I’ve always found the myths where gods threaten zeus with destroying all of humanity very interesting, because it’s very easy to assume that since Zeus is the king of gods, god of kings, that he can just order people to do what he wants and that’s not really the case. He has to actually be diplomatic and listen to other gods, which is why he’s considered also the God of Justice. He would look really awful if he tried to force Demeter to get over his daughter, and also he doesn’t even have the power to do so, so he has to be diplomatic. Like Helios threatening to hide the sun in the underworld (letting all of earth die and also Hades to have a massive migraine) was another example
