farewell was pretty good! well, most of it. after you reconcile with badeline the game really goes downhill
i canât recall anything before when you learn to wavedash, but after you gain the ability to grab onto badeline (the story stops making sense but who cares, dream logic), the rooms stop being easy to be able to read and gets a lot easier, and it tries to make up for it by just getting longer, which doesnât make it feel fun nor rewarding, just tedious. i feel like it tried to do a mario galaxy thing and failed. i suppose i could compare it to sans from undertale, but after you know how to do half that fight youâre able to breeze through the rest by just having enough items, and sans is meant to feel like a chore
i beat the final âscreenâ in⌠iâd say two hours at most. which i only know because (steam overlay broke) my alarm went off around a bit less than two hours ago. and it was prolly my least favourite bit. after i completed the first part (which took me maybe 45 minutes) the rest was pretty easy, it just made it so when i died i had to waste two minutes of my time getting back to that point. i think i died on going âupâ once (and that was just because i hit the upper wall after passing all the obstacles because the lighting flashed into my eyes, a really frequent and annoying occurance). also holding z for that entire time hurt my fingers. and in the final bit i died maybe six times.
besides the last bit being sour i had a good amount of fun. i wouldnât say âit didnât feel right leaving it unfinished in the last levelâ or something but i just kinda felt like beating it a few days ago
