because if you’re writing something dramatic, you’re probably not looking to crack jokes for the audience
my review of minecraft movie
Summary
it was fine. from an adult perspective. probably really amazing from a kid’s perspective. i didnt watch it in a theater i watched it from a pirate site. i was really amused at the start because of the blatant green screen and scuffed graphics, like it felt ironic. it took me a while to realize that im watching some early cgi version, before it was made pretty. an example screenshot:
i thought they purposefully made it like that and i was cracking up
anyway. the main character kid i found obnoxious but to be fair this is an old adult perspective. im sure its a good self-insert character for the target audience. all actors just played the part they were given. i loved jack black’s singing. i grew up with jack black as a crackhead rockstar, so there was a little memento for me as well

i kinda impulse bought an ipad for digital art despite no art skills or ever even really trying art, and would def say ive gotten moneys worth out of it and used it a lot for the purpose i bought it for

It’s a tone thing.
I want to write something dramatic without letting it spiral into being extremely dark.
Granted, it goes to some very dark places, but I don’t want it to feel like a barrage of suffering all the way down.

I lost but I want to justify my message. Benguined would be feeling a combination of rage and sheer indignation/befuddlement at the events that had just happened to him and thus would say something explicit
