Had to look up where scotland actually was and like
Doesn’t that group of islands have like multiple countries on it or something
How did they even fit a whole country in there

so you see countries aren’t usually divided based off of land mass but actually around sociopolitical factors spanning thousands of years

Debugging hardware issues on a PC is such a fucking nightmare. Just impossible to know which piece of the chain is failing. Just went through a chain of GPU driver troubleshooting to trying a new card, to replacing the PSU cables (the machine crashed when I jiggled the cables on multiple attempts), to finally the last ditch attempt of changing the PCIe slot it was connected to (my old GPU was too large to fit in the lower slot, but the new one coincidentally could fit with just enough clearance.

dude i have to deal with so much shit with my work computer cuz there’s a bunch of random software we have access to and random settings that can fuck everything up.

luckily liberty university girl is like. truly incredible with computers and can fix anything in like 10 minutes. for some reason

it’s chasing ghosts. the motherboard’s debug display showed code 4c for awhile which the manual said was a “reserved” code with no further explanation and when I googled for it some fuckers found like the real manual I guess and said it indicated some kind of RAM error, and to verify all the sticks were fully inserted and what not. It booted after I pulled out slot 2, and I shut it down, stuck it back into slot 2, and it came back up just fine (I did try making sure all of them were properly seated first, so who fucking knows what that was all about). Anyway these are all signs that my motherboard might be starting to crap out, but getting a new motherboard would cascade into a new CPU and probably PSU and also a new case, and I think swapping mobos fucks up your boot partition, so I’d need to deal with that after assembling all the hardware and praying it all decided to work again so fuck that until I literally have to.
