Anni 2018 and it’s fucking pack of lost wolves is probably the design I’ve hated the most, but that’s almost certainly because I was personally victimized by it. Zork’s LotR Mash’s ITA system is like so fucking heinous that it wraps around to being funny (okay so ITA shots right? You know ITA shots. Imagine they’re normal ass ITA shots except hitting someone just removes them from the game until Night, and they don’t actually die until you hit them the third time which of course would take 3 entire cycles to accomplish. And they’re removed from the game for the phase if you hit them and it’s not the third time, I really cannot emphasize that enough.)

fol ran a lotr game where people who hammered someone of the opposite alignment got a benefit. which led to me (and every american) staying up to like 4am on a school night because the host was an aussie

for context, DVC was supposed to be unspoiled, but had accidentally been spoiled for several days on Amrock being a wolf. Sunbae also (accidentally, he said) made a comment that was interpretable as spewing you mafia, though less clearly than the Amrock spew. and then, even without Sunbae’s comment – Amrock was stapling himself very hard to you, and I think a lot of people saw you two collaborating to run the game, defending each other, accusing people of being wolf for their pushes on the other one of you, and (knowing that Amrock was wolf) incorrectly read the situation as you two teaming up to powerwolf

I think we should put a ninja bulletproof godfather vengeful-converter* redirector that gets a vig shot every time it hammers a villager into anni2027, I think people would really enjoy that
* when it dies, it can convert someone to mafia

i for one believe that wolf dayvigs are just too overpowered of a way to get rid of powerful villagers. for that reason, my suggestion for anni2027 is that all wolf dayvigs should be gated to only be able to shoot between 1:35 and 1:37 CST, and should be unproxyable (town dayvigs have no such restrictions, and can in fact be proxied by any villager in the event they rand to a slanker)

and, so, obviously this doesn’t change how much it presumably sucked to get to DVC and experience everyone having been absolutely convinced you were mafia, but – when the hero shot on you landed, it felt, for a moment, like town had a chance again, like this was going to break open the game, like surely town would kill Amrock and this would turn the game around
