i love that movie about the gay couple in manhattan where the twink wants to move to the countryside because he finds nyc stuffy and stagnant and wants the freedom associated with rural life whereas the hunk wants to stay in nyc and pursue his career, only for circumstance to take them out to the country with a few friends where they fight at first but later come to accept each other as they are.
The sequel where the hunk goes back home to his African parents where his father struggles to accept his sexuality but ultimately understands that his son is still strong and capable regardless, and the hunk realizes that there’s more to life than NYC and family/community matters more than fame and career, was also good. Definitely took a lot of inspiration from Nervous Conditions. We don’t talk about the 3rd movie.
