anyway so i’ve been thinking about spike goggles recently
Summary
you’d have to have the lens? lift off from the frame so you can actually pierce the eyes using the goggles though
also i’ve been thinking about cattle guns more and more
they’re neat
Basically, I have a guy whose power is to reconstruct the world based on his perception (small things in the distance can be grabbed as tiny objects, a seemingly-infinite hallway from mirrors can be made infinite, a thing that looks like a mushroom can be made a mushroom, etc).
He has a headset put on him that distorts his perception of the environment - tentatively AI-generated video that’s altering the visuals - so that he always sees a way to form weapons around designated targets. He is sent into [the field] to hunt those targets, as well as any accomplices deemed to show up. Needless to say, his relationship with reality is starting to fray a little bit.
At any given point in time, I have four ideas that just get swapped around in different ways to form new things.
i need to start problems about things that never happened just to cause drama
ash you stabbed me!!!
You eloped with my sister!
'm sorry your sex life is unexciting! you should try getting a job that isn’t related to arson!
Maybe I could have if you didn’t get my university shut down over tax fraud!
All the universities are doing tax fraud! Mine was just remaining competitive in the market!
oh “everyone else was going 75 why didn’t you pull them over”! you’re like a politician!
(i am referencing a real scandal in australian? politics here)
Hey ash stop being mean to poor atlas
blinks twice
I can’t clip a segment from a Youtube video on desktop, but basically 22 seconds from where this starts.
This is the context for the, “It’s alright to bribe an official to do their job” quote from my PE class, if you were curious.
how peter astika could’ve won ad vitam aeternam:
hire less employees at the time
demand his secretary be more friendly with the employees so they worked with less of an idea in mind
don’t take the assimilation slow, do it immediately over a span of 2-3 days
plant plastic explosives inside the locum institute employee’s housing so they had to live in the locum institute
ally with the philosophers against the employees
ignore akodo
I actually came into the RP expecting the house itself to be the location of all the anomalies. Like, first two floors are fine, and then you enter the attic and are in a hammerspace-esque dimension, and as the RP goes along, those anomalies begin bleeding into the regular day-to-day life.
this was actually the plan but
it felt like there was too much for everyone to do and i needed a time y’all were mostly there to do it versus the anomalies
and it wouldn’t help with the progression of a game i wanted to get over with
