If you wanted me to have a more serious argument, I think it’s a combination of better wolf antispew, chaotic mech, and people getting worn out during mid/late-game.
We had multiple near-reverse-sweeps where mafia dominated discussion late-game and avoided execution, Odyssey and Project Moon were incidents where mech threw town into a death spiral, and we just saw w!Tutuu powerwolf Kyubey and nearly powerwolf Soweli out the airlock.
I haven’t read Flipless or Neighbor, but I know Worst Setup had town luck out with Carbon’s role killing Zug and Catbae while still having a strong enough towncore to catch Kiiruma.
