i think the only reason my parents like me more than my siblings is because i was practically zero trouble growing up
and when i got to a certain age and fell ill and did nothing but suffer for a year you can’t really hate that
and I’ve not been too much better since

i got reminded of this because i just remember sometime recently grabbing onto my father’s arm and him saying there was a pressure point to get out of it but refused to use it because he “couldn’t stomach hurting me”

@min my sister is an optometrist and I asked her about this because I know flashes can be a symptom of a retinal tear/detachment. She said if it’s been weeks and stable that you’re probably okay, but should still see a doctor. If the flashes are new, you should see a doctor as soon as possible. If you’re seeing floaters more too that makes it more likely to be serious, and if you’re near-sighted then you’re at increased risk as well.
