the game runs completely fine for me but I also have pretty reasonable expectations for things
I’m on a 3070 running most settings at Low and using DLSS set to Performance with Frame Generation turned on to get average like 80 FPS (pretty much never below 60 but rarely above 100)
but I’m also on a 1440p ultrawide which isn’t 4K but is certainly more demanding than non-ultrawide 1440p
does the game look extremely detailed with that level of upscaling and frame generation turned on? no, its no cyberpunk
but its cel-shaded so it doesn’t have to be, it looks perfectly fine and runs well
I wouldn’t necessarily expect anything less than like a 2080 Ti to meet that bar, since you’d probably need to sacrifice either resolution, rendered resolution (ie, use more drastic upscaling), or fps if you’re on something older
but like for me I don’t see any reason at all to be upset with what I personally am playing on
so no I wouldn’t recommend it if you have an older or lower-spec computer and want to play at a similarly high resolution
and I’ve heard that people with top-end hardware are by and large pretty frustrated with their inability to run the game at 4K max settings with a good framerate
but like that was never going to be me anyways since I don’t have a NASA PC and as such I think the game looks completely and totally fine with Low settings and upscaling in use (since the fact it’s cell-shaded means you aren’t missing out on nearly as much detail as you would in something more realistic) and I get good (albeit certainly not great) framerates so I have no real complaints personally

like it’s not gonna win any awards for extreme visual clarity with my settings, but it looks great as long as I’m not pixel-peeping far-off objects (which I never am when I’m, yknow, playing the game)
(framerate is generally a bit lower when stuff is happening, but again I’m never below 60 ever which is good enough for me)
oh yeah first chapter of higurashi is free on steam @Jane so you can literally try it completely free

if you decide to play umineko hit me up and i can tell u where to download the version you should actually play (you can still buy the steam release to support the creators but there are better versions to play online, if you know where to look)

okay well the undisputed classics are the danganronpa another series
danganronpa another is like. fine? but a bit rough around the edges, you could honestly just watch a playthrough
but you do need the context for super danganronpa another 2, which is a strong contender for best fangan of all time (and almost certainly the best completed one)
