yeah, and its going into like all of the most important bits: My takeaway is that the UN does basically nothing

its always some shit like “The Budapest Statute against Murdering Children with Knives and Bombing Schoolbuses” which has been ratified by everybody besides the U.S., Israel, and Russia, which means they dont have to follow it and nobody can do anything about it

can you write me a strongly worded letter rq

well they wouldn’t even get a strongly worded letter in that case. If they ratified it maybe they’d get a strongly worded letter. but I can write you a strongly worded letter

Europe instead has the European Human Rights Council which is binding, it did help citizens from my country to help with injustice when it was too corrupt to do anything and it also fines for not accepting LGBT, so that’s an added bonus.

And UN has important treaties like the 1966 civil rights or 1966 cultural and worker rights, but those are only inspiring ideals and with non-binding inspiring ideals I really doubt governments that benefit alot from status quo will give a damn.

My professor did quite mention Rwanda and Yugoslavia dissolution genocides, but only when it came to the international penal court and it didn’t dig beyond the surface.

I’ll read on that. Anyways what I know about the latter is that the safekeepers did jack 0 things except for the bombing part.

Yeah those lead to the creation of the ICC, which can do… nothing. I mean I guess it restricts what countries netanyahu can go to so thats a little based
