i understand that experiences vary, but when i actually have to do work around the house or the yard (when i lived in a place with a yard i had to work on), the wire fucking sucked. it got in the way and putting it under my shirt didn’t help because it would still sometimes get caught in the exposed section between shirt hem and pocket, and it would tug around the neck or whatever which was uncomfortable. wireless earbuds are good enough now that to get wired earbuds that sound an order of magnitude better would cost significantly more and, frankly, be more prone to breaking because the cable will get caught on shit and wear down the connections over time. every single pair of wired earbuds i have ever owned broke in less than 2 years with regular use, both cheap junk and pairs that pushed $100 around the time i bought them.
