Cavity isn’t really a genetic health issue.

Just because you have never had one before, it isn’t impossible to have one now. (And in early stages they might not be even painful.)

But they are far more things that can hurt your tooth.
(Could be the result of your gum being damaged, or the root having nowhere to grow and being inflammed)

There is no universal solution for all kimd of toothaches. (Painkillers can help a bit in the beginning.) It is really the best for looking for a dentist as soon as possible.

They start out not a problem and then become a problem. I had similar sudden onset tooth pain despite good dental health and it was my wisdom teeth, despite the fact that they hadn’t warned me about them on my last checkup or anything. If it’s in the back of your mouth I’d look into it

Another possibility is if you’re clenching your teeth while you sleep, that can also cause tooth pain if it’s not a cavity. But it could also just be a cavity

Though if it’s been a couple days that usually shouldn’t last so long. Trying to keep jaw relaxed is usually worthwhile tho. And flossing is pleasant and relieves pain you should do it but you already know that

Crazy how the wisdom teeth thing worked out for me btw. Iwas dentist every 6 months htey never said a word and then one day I walked in complaining of tooth pain and they were like yep want to get your wisdom teeth out tomorrow. I was like ???

It’s one thing if it happens at a normal wisdom tooth age but I was younger than normal so you’d think they would’ve noticed I had early wisdom teeth
