fun fact! Despite being one of the standard openers most people see, I donât actually know it that well to know the strategies of how to counter it or play it besides things Iâve sponged from eons ago. I spent a little bit on most moves just to think about what to do, for example here, the computer likes the bishop to stay targeting their pawn but I choose to route it in front of the pawn chain in order to try to dismantle it
Here I was stumped a little bit as itâs a scary move imo, but I realized that the rook who defends the bishop will be staring at their weak pawn, which once taken my bishop and rook stares at another pawn, even though my pawn is hanging, the computer finds a way to give weight a +1 advantage but I think itâs more complicated that it seems for humans and thereâs still some attacking and defending chances. But the opponent choose to take and go into the line I calculated instead of what the computer suggested
and my plan of attacking the pawn chain to give me center control worked :)
and the last ditch effort by my opponent to defend its position was crushed by the might pawn, attempting to deflect the queen away from defending the pawn that it needs to and the opponent resigned

Second game, I wanted to play the Vienna gambit but I realized I shouldnât with this high of a rating, ime most people around this rating know how to at least play the first couple moves to give them an advantage against it and so I was just going to play a Vienna game, then I thought about it and the dude wasnât even at 2k so I went fuck it, Vienna gambit, and he fell for it, was in a good position and just ended up winning when bringing their queen.
Unfortunate, hopefully the player learns how to play against the vienna gambit in the future

this might seem scary, but after the queen takes your king just moves left and thereâs no actual threat from black while you are threatening a lot of things, one of which is to trap the queenâŚthey resigned after this move. Vienna is inflating my elo rn.

the stall walls are like. always low af like prob barely clearing the toilet seat? idk exactly cause dreams but theyre comfortably seeable over and its like an actual relevant feature of the dream generally in that its making me nervous or uncomfortable and having difficulty using them LMAO. on the occasions theyre not quite like that the stall functions nonsensically badly in some other way
i had a dream the night before last where i specifically used the mens bathroom (at a mall after like. a lady led me on a long trip across the mall to go to the bathroom after they were closing before i left? there was a bunch of people there using the bathroom before it closed? also a teenaged boy in the stall next to me gave me some kind of advice? weird dream LMAO) and it made me think again about if this was a Gender thing

loss, same opening I struggled against when I drew, knew my position was terrible so just did a hail marry, no dice
my win streak has been ruined by me not knowing how to counter an opening. So, I think I can raise my elo more by learning more openings. I mean I already knew this but still
