When I got an IT job I realized how much they really had taught me how to learn because I started soaking up knowledge like a sponge
Edit: to be clear this was while I was in school and that combination of working in a related field while going to class was a bit of a secret sauce for me. I genuinely donāt know how I managed to work full time and go to school, and like commuting an hour one-way 6 to 7 days a week for 3 years, but it did pay off eventually.

Iām in CS1 right now and I got paired up with some freshmen who didnāt know, what the Start menu was, or how to find files on a computer, or how to install things, or that you had to hit enter when you wrote a command in the terminal

i can imagine the benefit of the both at once in terms of the like understanding tho for sure yah
(unfortunately my degree didnāt really help me on the how to learn frontā¦ or very many fronts period. but thats like a whole other can of worms i dont feel like getting into everything about again rn ill just appreciate the miracle that was me managing to graduate at all and leave it at that
