i can vaguely fact check i just need rough SOPs from someone who’s either in industry w/ compressors or has familiarity w/ gas turbines. I’ve read books on the design the issue is just the manufacturing/testing realities, esp. given uni EHS prefers not having explosions (or so i’m told). I have some manner of meeting with a compressor company at some point but that’s in a while and besides i want to have good questions to ask, not basics

i was under the impression that your university was pro-explosion

I’ve been incredibly sick today which involved standing in the shower staring at a wall for 20 minutes and then doing the same in a bath before going to work. It didn’t seem that bad it was just a sore throat and I thought it was from me taking my night time medicine twice last night because I couldn’t sleep (I didn’t sleep at all last night). No I was just sick and I couldn’t work then

You know in hindsight maybe staring at walls is only normal for cats

Also at work someone was cutting open a box and it got flung at me and I almost died

Maybe it’s evolutionary programmed to do nothing when sick to not spread, so it’s normal behavior to stare at walls

Maybe it’s evolutionary advantageous to throw knives at cats and it was an instinctive response
