Because - can ty-e as fast as - can s-eak, - th-nk about what -'m g-ing to type about as long as you think about what you’re going to say, which is to say, not very much unless you’re actively deliberating on it. If I type slowly, I have to change the way I think when I normally discard thoughts abut what I’m going to type very rapidly

If the only scenarios are gay kid and gay strangers on the steet you dont even have to talk to then yes. But what about something in the middle. A gay friend. Can a person have a gay friend, hang out with them, while also feel uncomfortable that their own child would be gay? I dont think so
