30001st poster gets a cookie (cookie thread (Part 7)) (Part 9)

basically you can dodge more and get partially refunded for it, and when your energy bar fills up you get a huge burst of speed (allowing you to run up and use it aggressively) and then if you hold onto your burst you maintain some speed long-term until you use or lose the energy (by bursting or by dying)

plus you get refunded nearly a full evade from using burst so it’s a lot harder to end up in a situation where you have no energy to dodge something because you just flipped

they are still working on at least one but maybe more additional games (depending on whether or not Byte Breakers is still a thing - I know they have another project they are actively pursuing, unsure about the status of that one)

you can’t exactly shit out a quality game in a few months lol, much less expect it to do well

ive mentioned it prior but i find alot of beauty in the degradation of things over time. i take pictures of it where i find it

ehm excuse me are you trying to suggest Baldur’s Gate 3 uPick FM wasn’t a quality game?? (lmao)

in all seriousness, it is so disappointing for them to make a game with such good art & music and the gameplay honestly was okay for them to then make the executive business decision of announcing its cancellation and then continue to support it for some time after

idk what they’re doing but I hope they sort it out soon

I mean in a world where people kept playing OS it doesn’t get moved to the backburner

game’s fantastic but the playerbase just isn’t there, so their options were move on or die and they chose life

Reached the Same state before stuck.
You literally have to guess C2R8 to continue… (ruleset missing the fog puzzle’s usual “you don’t have to guess to proceed” rule… it’s dumb)

It’s in greek

I think it’s just borked. C6R1 says RB even though renban is not supposed to be part of the puzzle. I finished this game by brute-force, 'cuz if you couldn’t solve it without bifurcation, then I might as well brute-force everything.

From the semifinals 1 from appearance from first to last.

Iceland 8/10 - genuienly surprising coming from Iceland who has boring eurovision songs.
Music: The chorus, the violin, the rapping are pretty entertaining. The coada (end segment) gets boring sadly.
Performance: the upbeat heroic feel of it, especially with the ship switching between the crew is entertaining to me, the clothing is also a vibe.

Poland is 7/10 - I have an ex-classmate named Gaja so you’ll have to excuse me. On a more serious note, the voice intonation, the spinning, the flames, the backdrop is engaging enough.

Slovenia 3/10 - I was listening this morning and I got so tuned in that when the transition music played I was genuienly surprised “wait did I miss something?” 10/10 background music, I forgot about it. Sadly I’m just a hater of old-fashioned and old songs, I’m also not a fan of love songs.

Estonia 6/10 - It’s catchy enough, the dance is engaging, sadly it’s not satisfyingly troll like Lithuania last year.

Spain 7/10 - Spanish dramatic songs instantly hook me up. Fortunately no blatant indecency here! cough What doesn’t make rank it further is that it keeps repeating the chorus.

Ukraine 5/10 - I do dig the 1980s if it was queer, but it kind of makes me tune out at some parts, with that said I think it would be perfect in the 2000s.

Sweden 8/10 - The harmonious chanting and the chorus are really cool. The way they switch the tune repeating barabarabarabastum with the accordion and with oooo-ooo-oooh. I’m usually a big hater of codas where they make the semitones higher and it makes it feel very disparaging for me, but they did it well and short this time.

Portugal 4/10 - The instruments are really okay, but the lentement songs do not beat to my heartbeat.

Norway 7/10 - It gives reminescent 2010s vibes, the scenary really appeals to me, the song does beat really good, I don’t like the part where they go too quiet. Norway Norway I’m my own lighter.

Belgium 5/10 - Sadly I don’t usually dig the emo aesthetics, the choregraphy is decent though. For the song when it builds up it’s a slap, but I really feel he is not playing with it, go intense go crazy. I mean he raises his semitones but… it just feels like something is largely missing. And the instrumentals are bomb, but it doesn’t make a great lasting impression on me.

Italy 6/10 - I don’t like lentement songs. But trying to ignore my bias on that, I really appreciate their philosophy and also the Toy Story reference on his shoe. The slow build-up on Vivere la vida is decent and trails good from there. It’s an average music you hear in a movie but you forget until you get reminded of it.

Azerbaijan 6/10 - Another 2010s mainstream vibe song but the era that I’m not as fond of, lols. The scenary is cool, but the song doesn’t make me rock with it. The lute has a really really uniquely pleasant feel to it.

San Marino 6/10 - make the rhythm more intense besides the chorus. I do love the parararara parararara and the sea chanty feel to it.

Albania 8/10 - I just love the really dramafeel to it and its philosophical nature, the fashion is cool, the coregraphy is suitably minimal but it does its job in my book.

Netherlands 6/10 - The lyrics are okay, but… I feel it doesn’t keep up with the main melody? I feel something is missing. But besides that, the echoey feel is cool, the mirror scene is enigmatically pleasant.

Croatia 5/10 - It feels like an Ireland 2024 with less rizz. I don’t hate it, I don’t like it that much. The fashion and choregraphy to match the dark nature fit really great, the melody with the guitar at the end before the coada kicks in. The inspiration for the song also doesn’t resonate too much with me either (that this is a big metaphor to how toxic internet can be)

Switzerland 6/10 - Without understanding the lyrics, the slow dramafeel to it and the sudden build-up with the chorus later it’s perfect. The coada build-up is bad, but it gets better when it starts to sing slowly until it fades. The lyrical substance that it’s about romance and optimism it’s okay.

Cyprus 5/10 - The inspiration for this is Adonis who is a god. The song is sufficient to keep me engaged, the performance synching with the song is fun and making it all dynamic drama like I’m watching a spy movie. The fashion is also a 10/10 in that regard.

Made in Switzerland 10/10 - I don’t care this is not an entree, I love the way they transition skits one to another, this actually made it feel more engaging and concert-y than the other songs. :see_no_evil:
