This is making me appreciate the NYT Crossword significantly more because the clues and answer lines on those are far more creative and interesting.

Something tells me that except for Obama and George Bush people quickly grow frustrated with the presiding administration so it shifts arounds.

Eh…
It’s more the fact that the market went, ā€œSurely he’s not going to put tariffs like he’s describing.ā€

Random fun fact did you know Obama literally flipped Florida twice

Not just that
It’s also that literally everyone knew the Elon Musk and Trump spat was market manipulation
I am up a 11.5% return in 4 days only buying traditional stock despite the fact I bought $10 over the 4 week low

Does it go that deep

yes, yes it does. the strategy is to engineer an event which you have the antidote to. it is very blatant

step 1. engineer a crisis to drop stock price, typically via tweet
step 2. wait for institutional investors to downgrade the stock so that it’s seen as more volatile and therefore loses value, for people to sell out of panic which further lowers the price
step 3. everyone who knows what you’re doing which is typically your friends and people you know well to buy (and me, of course)
step 4. fix the engineered crisis, typically via tweet
step 5. your mates celebrate over the assets they’ve just bought for below market value (and me, of course)

I did think Trump was rather more polite than how he usually is despite being antagonised and the only rather inflammatory thing he ever said was that Elon’s electric cars are nothing and he’d save the economy if he’d slash his incentives.

And then Musk doing a temper tantrum calling him indirectly a pedophile, that Trump would be a loser without his help and a plethora of other things

I’m not quite intellectualized into stock market so I don’t have the perspective to how to even correlate the two

that’s a key part of step 3
only your mates and people who are actively in a position of privilege are guaranteed to benefit

Trump does have bitcoins where it’s said he did those dump and pump schemes, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
