I donāt want a harem I donāt like the asymmetryā¦ Sounds very unpleasant. They all want you and only you but you split your time between all of them. Resulting in a feeling of insufficiency and false closeness. If theyāre also all dating other people then this vanishes but if itās the unilateral cluster itās a mess

Being in a relationship with somebody I donāt really respect and treat as an obtainable object is like fine I suppose but it sounds strictly less pleasant than somebody I feel is my equal. Donāt get why many prefer the former. āYou can impose your desires on themā yeah but you can imagine an ideal equal who naturally shares all your desires without imposition, itās fantasy

Well itās a literary trope more than anything so Iām speaking not as an imposition on othersā actual lives but a like āI donāt get this book genre it doesnāt appeal to meā way. I can judge writing all I want. They put it out there as art so I get to critique it

The most respectful harem novels usually stop at 4 or 5 partnerā¦ (Itās 3 on average)
And the disrespectful ones have way more than 10ā¦
