A fight is just a dance but deadly

Dances are often romantic

Fights therefore also get the romance of dances

Romance frequently leads to fucking

(And to quote/paraphrase a lizardman from the webcomic Goblins: Fighting, Feasting, and Fucking are all the same thing really (which means that it’s weird and gross to fight something you can’t eat or sleep with))

The fundamental pitch is the growth.
It’s a much bigger thing to go from -1 to 1 than to go from 0 to 1.

Man

I need to catch up on Goblins

But if I were to, I’d just do a full reread because I ain’t remember ANYTHING

(Basic premise is: What if goblins became adventurers. (It’s more complicated than that as a whole, but that is the initial concept. (In a world where goblins are normally fodder to be killed without regards for anything)))

Also the writer/artist is a trans woman, which is poggies.

hm, this is kinda what I kinda don’t like, with stories and written media I really prefer suuuuper slow pacing, enemies to lovers usually feels more rushed when I’ve seen it but I maybe should give it more of a chance

But

I do love seeing people come to hate each other just as much as I love watching people come to love each other

I mean, the problem with enemies to lovers is that inherently, you want to get to the lovers part. And especially in fanfiction, your entire reason for wanting to write the story at all is to get to the lovers part.

I am very much guilty as a reader of this kind of stuff.
I get kinda aggravated by slow burn romance if it feels like the slow burn is the only real hook of the story.
