and also to be clear ethics are genuinely very important in engineering
and I do not personally believe that the take that anybody that works in defense is automatically unethical because A a lot of defense work is genuinely in defense not offense and B some offense is genuinely justified
but its still really fucking funny

like real talk idk how we can live in a world where russia has invaded ukraine with fighting still ongoing to this day and pretend that the defense industry doesnât serve any genuine purpose
that being said certain places and people that use that industry for obviously-unethical ends are definitely in need of far more international pushback than theyâve been getting and that is certainly gross
