Anyways, someone better at writing than me can use this as the backstory for a character who has successfully deluded themselves into thinking they are the hero foretold in a legend that may or may not even exist.
This reminds me of a vague concept I had for a post-Korra Avatar: kid awakens to his powers, but his parents donât want him to deal with {anti-Avatar sentiment and danger of death? Original concept was Korra being murdered, but I donât like that anymore}, so they take him to the Northern Water Tribe and then intentionally kill and revive him so that the Avatar passes on to someone in the Fire Nation.
Except the twist is, âWhoops; he still has his powers, so thereâre now two Avatars in the world.â
I still really like this concept because it has a hype finale moment built-in from get-go, so you can basically just build backwards from it thematically and narratively.
