okay so. alot of the album feels structurally and melodically very similar. which is a concern for an hour long project and i imagine would turn some people away from this. however they use that structure and progression and everything really, REALLY well throughout and the quiet lofi acoustic parts give you enough time to breathe, but only just enough. outside of that its a constant rush of emotion. that alongside the common structure held can be a little draining but i feel thats neccesary to be as powerful as it is the constant noise and blaring and everything almost overwhelming you would lose something if it had more space. it took alot out of me while keeping me engaged and loving it. ill need to do a more in depth listen later but im feeling really real positive about it.
also i recognise the fucking sample of the final kaua’i o’o calling for a mate right at the end of the final song. evil fucking sample

theres alot going on lyrically but ill need much more time to digest that
just finished hopefully my only LSAT exam. I felt slightly worse on it than I typically do on a practice test. we’ll see

i had a nonfiction streak for a while but amy coney barretts stupid book kinda killed that for me. so the answer is a general “narrative fiction” usually with a preference to fantasy/sci fi/dystopia/(anything not set in Earth, present day)
