It depends who youâre surrounded by, what stage of life youâre in, how confident you are in yourself, etc.
It depends on a LOT of things
I have a skewed perspective because Iâve appeared masculine for quite some time now, but in my personal experience, women are definitely treated like shit more than men are. We arenât taken as seriously, weâre treated as dumb more, weâre considered emotional and irrational, etc.
Women are also sexualized. A lot. Treated like objects rather than humans. It sucks.
I am lucky that this hasnât happened to me much irl since ~high school, but I know so many people who it has happened to a lot.
Society rly is built around men and giving them power while treating women as Lower.
but⌠it also rocks in some ways. You feel solidarity and community with the other people who are treated how you are. You can wear pretty clothes (if thatâs what you want) without it being considered weird. You get to use the cleaner bathroom (but the line is always longer, which sux)
Idk. This is all from a cis* perspective and from someone who is kinda butch as hell. But itâs complicated. Being a woman rocks but also fucking sucks sometimes

chloe brought up good points about like, being sexualized and objectified. being hit on while called a slur fucking sucks
and i should mention that while i sort of pass visually i donât voicepass, so like my experiences as a girl probably arenât gonna be the experiences a cis one would have
but its still pretty nice, women have an almost intrinsic community that chloe brought up which is nice to be a part of, and also men will buy you things if youâre nice to them so thats pretty cool
