About the Rules & Moderation category (Part 1)

is a lion a bird?

well the commies killed them so you’re just gonna have to like what you get

they need to kill BIRDS. LIONS ARE BASICALLY BIG CATS.

there’s also a dead buccaneer if that’s more your speed

they might kill an eagle next week!

WHY ARE THEY KILLING THE THINGS THAT COULD KILL BIRDS

it’s also possible that the eagle kills them instead. or that a ram shows up instead

dying in battle against a bird is a honorable death

oh trust me the buccaneer was not gonna be able to kill the eagle

then you would like uh. whatever a packer is

and a… steeler? i guess? the birds have had some weird matchups

tomorrow the ram will either kill the eagle or die trying

I’ve got a feeling we are talking about different topics

no we’re talking about the same thing

But it’s working for the betterment of humankind!

you still gotta contain it though its “cures” ain’t shit

Really I don’t think there’s a distinct list of words somewhere that Are Slurs and Are Not Slurs. There’s obvious cases that fall into one category or the other but trying to define the exact list of which words have been used enough to demean people that they can never be used again will end up with weird fuzzy edge cases. Some words have been sufficiently socially established as “words you only call people if you’re prejudiced” that strictly banning those makes sense but once you get to, like, “femboy” or “tgirl” I think it’s more a matter of just not using the words to be an asshole

look if femboy’s a slur we’re all cooked

(I had a friend who used to be big on “femboy” being a slur. The needle’s moved a lot on that one since TBF.)

i assume you mean like. calling a trans woman a femboy or something like that. which is straightforwardly bad. but
