It jumps between 1700-1900. This is because the way I play chess is sometimes I just decide half way through the game I don’t wanna play anymore. So it jumps between my mood. Truthfully the difference between 1900-1700 isn’t really that large since you just need to play fast and accurate enough to jump to 1900, or just fast

also the key to winning some bullet games is having some obscure traps to use against people who play sinimaiy each game but aren’t used to people having traps for those lines
one example is the French defense gige a second

After 1. e4 e6 2. d4 d5 3. e5 c5 4. c3 Nc6 5. Nf3 Qb6 6. a3 Nge7 7. b4 cxd4 8. cxd4 a5 9. b5 Na7 10. Nc3 Bd7 you get to this position.

With how many steps it takes to get to this position, it’s actually fairly common because the French defense usually involves the same moves over and over so it’s not uncommon to get to this situation. Anyway black is threatening to capture the pawn but they aren’t actually. If I ignore the pawn and they take it, I can take back with the horse and they can take with the bishop thinking they won material when actually…they just pinned their bishop to their queen

Anyway we have some other traps. For example the copy cat version

in quiz bowl if you get the tossup wrong you lock the rest of your team out of answering it. this is generally seen as bad

This is another common trap in bullet. It’s called the copy cat because black copied everything you did. Anyway so as you can see I’m threatening to take the black pawn. So obviously the best move is to move the queen threatening to capture with check and protecting the pawn…but in reality I can just ignore that move and attack their queen, asking them to go lie down in the grave that was made for them. I mean black hasn’t lost but it’s so convulted the way to not lose that white is very clearly better

White king is just super safe here

Then we got the caro khan or whatever it’s called and tbh I don’t rlly know how to play against it but I do know a trap there
