The triangle inequality itself is easy but I always forget that it’s called the “triangle inequality” and he refers to it by name a lot
honestly i’d consider putting the reverse triangle inequality on a notes sheet that’s a bit easier to trip up on

all of my math classes this semester have used the triangle inequality to some extent you would not survive if you didn’t know it

theres a nice geometric way to derive the derivative of cos thbthtbthbthtbhtbthbthbt (and equivalently the derivative of sin)
we call this the reverse triangle inequality
the geometric intuition I use for it is “if you moved z_1 and z_2 to the same value of theta but kept the radius the same, then you’d move them closer (or keep them the same distance apart)”
