Anyway I highly doubt the screw driver damaged the port. It’s just a small object moving along the walls. The charger does that all the time anyway

my charger was finicky on my old iphone but when i got a new one it started working just fine again
iphone charger ports just do that sometimes
yes but replacing a charger is easier than replacing a whole phone
