once upon a time there was a cat who went over 36 hours without sleeping. they were told in no uncertain terms that if they don’t log off and go the fuck to sleep, they would be attacked by a bird. this cat took the warning seriously, as they had sustained a bird attack before somehow, and they summarily logged off and went the fuck to sleep. for you see, the cat knew better than to mess with fate.
