Acalc + ODEs are both “applied math”
the math department is supposed to be the one most in tune with precise wording! all of upper level math is hinged on precise wording!
I wanted to wait until I got accelerated PhD shit back to talk to 'em but given I might be taking 2 math courses again next semester I probably wanna talk to them
Cause that’d be the last 2 I need for a minor
PDEs and Complex Variables are both in the Applied Mathematics category
If I do end up going for hte math major, those 2 + one more math course + linalg + foundations of analysis (intro proofwriting course) + CS1 are enough to get it
Some random fucker online says group theory is good if you want to do inorganic
I could talk to them about abstract algebra
i think therapy is good if you wanna do any type of mathematics
Damn conflicts with my lab
i have actually seen quizbowl questions mention group theory in relation to like. chemical conformations
group theory really does it all
freest schedule at may university
(for anyone who wants to call hypocrisy on me i haven’t gone to data science since midterm break)
(don’t feel like it. the last lecture i attended was one on least squares regression. stat was literally a prereq. i learned this in stat. what am i here for)
hypocrite

I will learn nothing
may.
