Acalc + ODEs are both “applied math”

the math department is supposed to be the one most in tune with precise wording! all of upper level math is hinged on precise wording!

I wanted to wait until I got accelerated PhD shit back to talk to 'em but given I might be taking 2 math courses again next semester I probably wanna talk to them

Cause that’d be the last 2 I need for a minor

PDEs and Complex Variables are both in the Applied Mathematics category

If I do end up going for hte math major, those 2 + one more math course + linalg + foundations of analysis (intro proofwriting course) + CS1 are enough to get it

Some random fucker online says group theory is good if you want to do inorganic

I could talk to them about abstract algebra

i think therapy is good if you wanna do any type of mathematics
