bonus 2 is a cool question but bonus 3 just feels like “do you know the connection between a character and the books name”

ive done it before and i liked it but what part of the brain makes it… do anything
logically its mostly just memorization
well you see quizbowlers are mentally ill-
(the distinction between quizbowl and trivia is a nontrivial one. questions are longer, more academically oriented, etc. etc. et al)
why is quizbowl interesting then
if you love it it’s for the thrill of the game. people who aren’t interested in that kind of stuff are just not gonna be interested in it

so all the questions were evidently fair and acceptable for that level of play?
looking at the round where two incredibly scary teams combined from 13 powers (clearly both really good). one of them had 15.56 ppb and the other had 15.
in the next round ppbs went way up across the board but powers went way down
this set can’t even decide how it wants to overshoot
